Internationally, the concept of FTTH is also widely used, including FTTB. Zhang Chengliang stressed that in China, FTTB will still exist for quite some time and it will occupy an important position. Zhang Chengliang stated that under the circumstance that the FTTB can meet the bandwidth requirements, the short-term transformation of the FTTB should be avoided to reduce unnecessary waste. In some of the more special new scenarios, FTTB is still the most economically reasonable construction mode at this stage.

The newly built area should mainly adopt the construction mode of full coverage of FTTH. The urban transformation area should be adapted to local conditions and be mainly covered by thin FTTH to avoid blindly implementing the overall translation.
